Zambian singer Chile One accused of stealing K6,530
Chile One Mr Zambia, whose real name is Chileshe Obbed is a singer, songwriter and music producer hailing from Chililabombwe in the Lubengele town of Zambia. He got his recognition in the Zambian music scene with a bang hit song tagged “Fweba Ku Chaume,” featuring Jemax Bachilolo who’s also a Zambian heavyweight rapper. Chile One is a celebrated artist won over four awards at the 2022 Kwacha Music Awards, among the awards he also won as the Best Artist Copperbelt, Best Newcomer Male Artist, Best Afro Fusion R&B Song, Best Mainstream/Pop and Song of the Year.
According to social media reports ,Chile One Mr Zambia who’s known for his thoughts provoking and captivating songs, allegedly accused to have stolen money amounting to K6,530, property of Radio Maria Yatsani voice in Lusaka, the said money was sent to his FNB account.
Brief fact the are that Radio Maria Yatsani had agreed with Chile One Mr Zambia to produce a jingle for them and upon this agreement k6,500 was sent to Chile One FNB account of which according to him the money never reflected on his account which resulted him not to make the jingles. The station again sent him a K6,530 to his MTN mobile money and agreed that once the FNB money reflects he should refund it to Radio Maria Yatsani. He later produced the jingle and never paid back the money which was earlier sent to his FNB account and that’s how the controversy started.
